Virtual Economics 4.5 – Economics of the California Drought

Take advantage of your students’ concerns to teach them valuable applications for economics during this period of prolonged drought in California. You will come away equipped with an economic perspective and tools to analyze, evaluate, and inform the challenges faced by the drought.

Economics has a lot to say about the challenges surrounding water supply, distribution, use and pricing. Lessons provided are Common Core-ready and cross multiple disciplines to provide integrated learning opportunities for your students. Many of the lessons are easily adaptable into a project form so as to accommodate Project Based Learning (PBL).

The workshop draws on and features lessons from the Virtual Economics (VE) 4.5 flash drive ($160 value), which is offered as a complimentary gift to the attending participants.

Instructors: Anthony Zambelli, J.D., Joshua Mitton, M.A.
