To equip California students with the tools and knowledge of personal finance and economics so that they can make better decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our work aims to create intergenerational opportunity so that every individual can have financial and economic security and realize their dreams and aspirations
In 1959, The California Council on Economic Education (CCEE) was founded as part of the California State University Foundation to provide training and standards-based curriculum in economics to California teachers. In 1999, CCEE became a 501 © 3 charitable organization.
CCEE helped to pioneer the 1985 economics mandate in California, which is the law that requires every student to take a single economics course
Despite California’s economics course mandate, there is still so much more work to be done within California in order to build widespread economic and financial literacy. We couldn’t do this work without our valuable partners.
